Cinerama Film is a production and distribution company that was established in 1979 in Cairo, Egypt. The company had a major role in distributing films in the Middle East, Gulf countries and some European countries that are part of Egyptian cinema history. Cinerama has produced films, television series, and distributed them in cinemas and satellite channels.

In 1979, Mahmoud El Safi founded Cinerama Film for production and distribution. His passion for film led him to obtain a Bachelor's degree at the Higher Institute of Cinema, Production Department; class of 1970. He was ranked first in his class of excellence with honors. As the teacher's assistant, he worked his way up until he became a primary teacher at the Higher Institute of Cinema, Production Department, from 1972 to 1990.

Furthering his experience in the industry, he picked up responsibilities as the production supervisor for graduation projects at the Higher Institute of Cinema from 1972 to 1977, for more than 30 short fiction films. He then established Cinerama Film and devoted himself to working in the market, both in production and distribution of films, TV Programs and series, through different decades and market developments. Now, after more than 40 years since the company's establishment, Cinerama Film is still keeping up with tradition, pacing with the evolution and developments of the new era.
